Christine Stankowski has been involved with volunteer engagement since 2006 in leading and managing volunteer programs in the not-for-profit and local government sectors in Australia. In 2016, Stankowski launched Flutterbye, a blog designed to support those who work with volunteers by sharing contemporary and practical advice. Flutterbye quickly established a large following and evolved into a consultancy designed to empower organisations to reach their goals through effective volunteering.

Through her consulting, Stankowski has assisted government and not-for-profit organisations by leading research projects, volunteer program reviews and numerous strategic projects for the broader volunteering sector. Flutterbye has been a successful vehicle for Stankowski to continue to focus on her passion while  building sustainable and effective volunteer programs that deliver value to the organisation, volunteers themselves and the community.

Stankowski holds a Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) and has qualifications in change management, communications, training and Lean Six Sigma. She is heavily invested in growing volunteer management capability and raising the profile of leaders of volunteers.
